Type 2's: What was your fasting blood glucose in a morning?

5. 2 bedtime
6. 3 fasting

Up with the larks for early morning PT session only to find a text saying trainer can't make it. Ugh! So instead I shall substitute my squats, lunges and press-ups with unpacking and stacking the 18 sacks of logs which were delivered yesterday!

An hour and 5,5km walking later, not to mention 10g of carbs prior to setting off and my levels are 5,8 pre breakfast.

Happy enough with that!

A potted plant in my garden with attractive yellow daisy like flowers. Dedicated to our very own @daisy1 for looking after the newly diagnosed so well.

Go Utd - my partner's team of preference. Mine is Preston North End - we are in earshot of the stadium but I digress from the question your post posed - What's a "pay bar"?
Jan
Pay bar is an American peanut bar and is delicious but packed with carbs 27g and 240 calls per bar.

Hence only taken rarely as a scientific test lol .

4.7 for me this morning, a little on the low side for me, normally in the 5's but no retest.

Looks like another wet windy day in Manchester but let's be fair it is winter.

Have a good day all.

6.8 for me this morning... A little higher than of late, but I was up late as I am off to see the liver specialist. Fingers crossed I've done enough to please him

Have a great day and be kind to your fingers

7.8 this morning.

I've only heard of the phrase 'eat to your meter' since I joined here. .... I'd like to put it into practice too ... Any tips how to do this?

Good Morning Kezzer, hope all goes well with your appointment. Please let us know how you get on

9.5 since having to eat at supper time because the levels were low due to Humalog grrr

6.2 this morning i just had a couple of kanapes at a business networking event last night in the Famous Christopher Wren hotel in Windsor. They were mounted on bread and wrapped in pastry. Sent my evening numbers into double figures after I had my lamb curry with a couple of potatoes.
Serves me right I guess!

Hi Rose I am a relative newby. I have been trying to follow the 'eat to your meter' which basically to me means eat only those things that will give you the Blood Sugar readings that you seek within certain target ranges. There is an element of experimentation whist you get to understand which foods have the biggest and lowest impact on your meter readings. Low carbs, or smaller portions, increased proteins and or higher fats. Whatever foods together give you your desired results. I now know pretty much which foods affect my numbers and that helps me to keep CONTROL most of the time. I am sure colleagues will explain much better than I have done but that,s I how I have interpreted it.

5.2 this soggy pennine morning.
I enjoyed my eggs & collies enjoyed their porridge 'n' gravy/scraps

Down from 5 to 4,6 between waking up and an hour later when setting out for walk. Will have some fruit to prevent further drop
You mentioned your walk, presumably torrents have subsided? Take care, don't want you washed away
