That's nice of him to come see you. Glad you have some good friends popping in7.4 This hospital food is sending my bs crazy can't get below 7 but nite really doing much. Was nice to have a chat with some friends yesterday, church minister coming today he always makes me feel better.
I've wondered about that myself. I figure if fragrance is left behind, the something that produces it must do too.....One hand cleaner? I find different soaps give different readings.
A little whinge now and again is allowedI was 113/6.3 this morning... still high... still got infected sinuses and it's driving me nuts... so painful and never seems to get better... No dairy today - that can create too much mucus I have been reading... no cream then...Not often this low, sorry for whingeing....
What's a 9 bar please....?6.6 before bed
6.3 for me this morning
decided to try and cheat the liver dump so I had a 9 bar for my breakfast and ate it on the way to work... tested at an 1.5 hrs and I am 10.8will test again at 2 hours and see...usually I get hardly any rise at all with the flavour of 9 bar I ate.
I might just have to accept that my liver dumps are here to stay...and take it up with the doctor to see if in the overall scheme of things, it will affect my numbers etc.
Love your username AND the response from your Doc. Good job "we" know what we're doing and can smile about it.Today I was 5.8, still recovering from overindulgence at christmas, when I had a few 6.5's. On mentioning this to my doctor while there about something else (because she asked how my levels were), she replied it was because I have diabetes and nothing to do with what I'd eaten or drank! I just smiled and nodded.......this has got to be the best response yet!
Great news, so glad you're feeling better6.7 mmol/l. Big improvement and feeling much better. Finish antibiotics on Friday so feeling not bad.
Hmmmm, licking lips and droolinghe he he.
Not so much pies but Marmalade butty
The picture that brings to mind.6.1 after my 3 mile walk jog run today. I'm ok with that. Put my woolly hat on today looked like Freddy Parrot Face.....start my upper body gym toning work with the guidance of my mate who owns a gym. Plan is 3 days a week. Lets see how it goes.
SnapBayer Contour Next. I got it free from Bayer when I entered a competition on here. Picking up my prescription prickers and strips for it this afty. I love (if that's the right word) the new pricker thing, much better than the old monitor one.
Sorry to hear that Lorraine. Big hugs, take care x xUncle Tommy past away at 1.00am
Thanks to everyone x
May come in handy for a quizA steady 3.9 for me this morning. I'm happy enough with that.
Today and tomorrow will involve a few motorway miles for me, as Mr B heads back to Paradise, and I'm on the airport run. The upside is that it really does mean I can start my own countdown to the sunshine.
Last night I discovered the series of Death in Paradise starting tomorrow night, has been filmed in a favourite and frequent stop off point for us, during out times in the region. The Facebook page has a pic dated 4th January, which was undoubtedly taken in one of me all-time favourite bays. It's not my style of TV viewing, but I may have to watch it on fast-forward, just to see the locations. Guadeloupe is a beautiful island, of literally two halves (it's butterfly shaped), with one end fairly populated and almost industrial, and the other covered in beautiful rain forrest.
One of the peculiarities of the French islands is any stamp in your passport shows one to be in an arrondissement of Paris. That's your completely useless fact of the day from Planet Breathe.
Possible although I do re-use mine. I do check for contamination as I reset it thoughI think I've found out why I was getting the same high readings of 7.9. This afternoon I picked up my latest batch of needles and strips for my new monitor which I've only used once. I'm trying very hard here to word this without going into a novel about it, so here's the very short version...............
Old system had a 6 needles barrel which you inserted into the pricker and rotated every time you used it.
New system has single use needles which need replacing after each use. I thought the new ones worked the same as the old ones and therefore used the same needle 3 times. It may be that I was getting the same reading due to contamination. I might be wrong but after changing the needle I got a reading of 5.8. i will keep checking and see what happens.
Welcome to the thread cuddly koala. And I remembered not to say "bear"5.3 this morning
Well Clive my DSN told me never to re-use and move to next lancet in the drum. Is there any guidance out there ?
A little whinge now and again is allowed.
Only now and then....usually when eating something different or new. Last a1c was 5.2.... Dr. Is happy.Do you test pre and post meals? We can have lots of ups and downs in between
I can't sleep when hungry.... No matter the time, small handful of nuts to carry me over to the morning. When does everyone stop eating in the evening? I stopped at strickly 8pm last night as I had a fasting test at the clinic this morning. Maybe that is what made a difference this morning. Usually, if I am peckish in the evening, I have a snack. Maybe I need a curfew!
Curious, you have a pool yet walk around it?went shopping today but only cos I didn't want to get the bus home and back whilst waiting for car to be MOT'd. Knackered me out but didn't do much for bs . Tried 3 coffee bars b4 I found one that did soya latte
