I eat meat every day now... I try to limit cheese, but what protein can you eat? Quorn is brilliant but here in the Middle East it's difficult... before I started the low-carbing I hardly ever ate meat... Porridge for breakfast and then it was all pulses and legumes really... hommus being a favourite every day - on 'healthy', home-made rye and spelt bread.... can you imagine how it was putting up my numbers?me too if I thought I had. Eating less meat these days anyhow. Rarely buy it but still have it if someone had cooked for me.
Ahhh, not good is it? Life overtakes you sometimes.. I have learned to keep a ziplock with nuts, 75% black chocolate and some BabyBels in my handbag or shopping bag... it's so difficult sometimes to stick to the plan.... Hope you get a chance to get something nice later...
Take care, that's not a good day... Hope tomorrow's better....5.1 this morning rushed out to work at 6.30am forgot my insulin !!! I had a boiled egg sandwich on brown bread now reading a whopping 11.4 and I won't be home till 5 pm

Long time til 5pm on just a bit of egg though.....No more carbs for you today then! My gut feel about that might have been to eat the filling and leave the bread, to give your body a chance to sort of cope.
That's the sort of "healthy" I went for in the past too..... Lots of homemade wholemeal seeded breadsI eat meat every day now... I try to limit cheese, but what protein can you eat? Of course it was your morning reading - always morning somewhere in the world4.7 Nope! Not one of my dodgy low reading test strips either
At least I don't think so.
But! It was sort of my morning fasting reading........
Well done! you might say? Until you realise I did that teenager thing and didn't get up until 1pm!
I was up half the night and half the morning though, with this chest and sinus infection combo
Re: Type 2's : What was your fasting blood glucose in a morn
My morning readings are the only readings I have a problem with, they are usually between 6.8 and 7.3, and I just can't get them any lower, the rest of the day Im in the 5s - 6s before and after meals. I'm on no medication at present
Oooh, they were
You have to wonder, don't you...That's the sort of "healthy" I went for in the past too..... Lots of homemade wholemeal seeded breads
