Type 2's: What was your fasting blood glucose in a morning?

5.3 this morning. My throat infection invited friends . I have a high temperature, persistent coughing, feeling cold, chest infection and no energy.

If it doesn't go soon do to gp for antibiotics. Wrap up warm.

I've ordered some new strips as it's driving me bonkers. And my fingers are sore. 7.6 on batch 44 this morning. Rewashed hands and it was 6.5. Some of the readings just aren't credible.
I agree to you mine is the same. Hoping to finish them asap
 

No probs Eddie, I know you're only joking I get a bit confused with all the insulin etc, when the nurse started talking about 'bolus' I glazed over! :grin:

Get better soon take care and go to GP sounds like you've got an infection :-(
 
Nite all, shattered and feeling drained. Ate late as was not hungry as usual and expecting a higher fasting result in the morning.
 
If I am getting up at 3.30am for the cricket what time do I take my fasting reading?

Frustrating - any thoughts on what it might be?

Absolutely no idea Rod. Its baffling and worrying. I've not made any changes to my diet or exercise routine. I fear there may be something going on that I have no control over

I had my monthly stats taken yesterday and I'm still losing inches from my hips, thighs, calves and arms but had gained 3/4 of an inch round my middle which would be consistent with the raised bs. I'd only lost a single 1lb in 4 weeks

I plan to switch from exercising before breakfast to the evenings and see if that makes a difference.
