I cook a couple of "normal" portions of rice in one go then freeze it into "my" portion sizes. Used to be that what served 3 would be two portions for me now a 3 person portion serves me for at least 6....how thinking changes ....

Well done that lady...

Just back from guys im sched' for op on wed 25 th feb at 11am :(
Appreciate your kindness " nurse"
...don't 'like'... we'll be lighting candles and thinking of you CtD....

All brilliant!!! You didn't do anything that the rest of us do all the time - and don't get caught.... and your BG was fab... Good day really...

Hi Susikav, you gotta LOT of catching up to do. Hope you've had nice weekend. Just abt done on here now so will"like" your posts tomo.
Really?

7.6 this morning. Saw doctor yesterday I have got a throat and chest infection been signed off for 2wks :-(. Will only eating small amounts of soft food harm my diabetes. Not hungry and can't swallow much.
Oh boy, you really are going through the wars still.... what a shame... I wouldn't think that eating small, soft stuff would hurt, but you'll know after the first few days for sure... what about low-carb bread in home-made veggie soup? Scrambled egg? Avocado? It's not going to be easy, is it? I hope the anti-bugs kick in quickly so you start to feel a bit better... You'll be glad when the spring gets here, for sure...

5.8 this morning but slept in late again, snotty head and cough and had slice of oat bran and linseed bread and butter around 2am when Moo wanted out.
Awww.... better soon... that's miserable... the snot and cough, not Moo....

That's really good... I go over 6 sometimes still... Like the lady said, 'we all wear the same T-shirt'... or was it a chap?

Little despots - all of them...

I'm T2 and if I don't look after my diet I can easily go hypo.
Me too.... nose-dived in the passport office in Newport on Christmas Eve... they rallied round and sorted me out... half of the staff had family who are 1 or 2, so they knew what to give me... I definitely can get too low and have a hypo...

Had my 3 month check up. A1C was 5.4.

6 months Metformin free!! Dr. is very impressed. I go back in three months, and if my numbers are still this good.... She is going to remove "diabetic" from my charts are replace it with "short period of high glucose levels".

Last few weeks have been busy, and I haven't had much time to partisipate here. On another good note, my niece won a gold medal in the Canada Winter Games for Archery. Possible Olympic future for her. Total thrill for a 15 year old!

They started clearing the streets here in prep for spring, exposing the drains....etc. Wouldn't know it with last nights temp of -34c

5.6 today. Back to the testing after few days of erratic testing due to Mr E''s birthday celebrations. So busy that I hardly ate anything for two days and nothing carby. Didn't even sample my favourite raised veg and feta couscous dish!! Paying for all the activity and stress now as in fibromyalgia flare up.

5.2 pre breakfast , very rarely post an immediately out of bed figure, don't like to disturb my lady wife. However
Happy enough with this as its MY normal reading.

Off to work, speak later keep well everyone.
