4.4 today
Really light headed off balance and dizzy for an hour or two on rising though
I know not why
Never been that low in a morning either
Something is amiss
The diabetes fairies are playing games again :dead:
Don't like those fairies sometimes ya know
Liked but not liked the dizzyness make hypo ? Try eating if you can. I will try and have a word with those naughty faries for you

Took a day off from testing yesterday.... Didn't test once Which made me feel very nervous. Still I think it made me a better eater lol

5.8 this morning :) so can't have done too bad on my non testing day.

Thanks @loulou99782  I never thought of hypo.
Darn those little fairies :hilarious:
I had my granola, yoghurt and almond milk and felt better, took a while though.
It's been a weird week:wacky:
Yesterday I think I spiked through the roof for no reason. (symptoms, not tested to confirm)

You shouldn't be getting hypos if you're T2 on diet only any more than I should, the liver would kick in with some glucose if you were going too low (and 4.4 isn't that low). Just the weird week and your system getting used to lower BGs I would guess.

5.8
Then I had a cup of tea eight tablets one of which was Metformin a bowl of porridge with a tablespoon of coconut oil and some dessicated mixed in and then went back to bed .... that was about twelve.
Just got up and I'm 4.7.

I'm T2 and if I don't look after my diet I can easily go hypo.

5.5 post Russian departures, back to my normal.

Weather is awful rain rain and more rain, Manchester lives up to its rep yet again.

A great day everyone back to normal reporting next week.

I'.ll take your 4.4 but you can keep you ten kilometer run. OK :playful:
6.6 mmol/L after the run. Don't knock it until you've tried it! Interestingly, before this year I was never able to run 10k, but after switching to a LCHF diet I found I am able to and it's quite enjoyable. Now I try to do one every Sunday morning. Unfortunately it's winter here, so I do it at an indoor track that's only 430m long. I am looking forward to spring!

Well fancying something different for my lunch I made a chicken Korma, from the recipe off this site. I had a very small portion with a tablespoon of rice and one Poppadom (3.6g carbs). My bs went from 4.6 pre to 7.6 2hrs later, 3hrs it was still 6.5. Hmmm don't think I will be making that again in a hurry. Nice though.

Try the ready made Tesco Chicken Tikka Masala. http://www.tesco.com/groceries/product/details/?id=259778195

I have it with some low carb bread. Rice is a no-go for me.

Hi NoCarbs4Me,
Phew! when I saw your reply, I thought for a minute, you were looking for someone to run with, ;) seriously wasn't knocking it, I think it's great if you can do it. I walk down a very long (6/10ths of a mile road about a kilometer) and back again very briskly, and often breaking in to a jog, just to see how it feels, but the jolt to my joints, mainly my knees, makes sure I cannot run for long, so I stick to the walking.

I do cycle, I'm in the UK, and have taken my bike (in a big bag) to Majorca (Spain) and cycled over there, not quite as mountainous as Canada but none-the-less pretty hilly, all the Tour de France cyclist practice out there. I went with a group, but cycled on my own as could not keep up, even though I did 40miles per day (64 kilometers) they were doing at least a 100 to 120 kilometers per day. I also do some badminton , tennis and 40 lengths of a pool swimming about a mile, 1.6 kilometers.

Anyway, 'keep it up' NoCarbs4Me it's just 'not my bag' the running.

Neil

Have you tried cauli rice at all? It's amazingly effective, in terms of adding texture and bulk to a meal, without adding significant carbs. Alternatively, if I can't be bothered to do the cauli, I just have the curry/chilli or whatever in a bowl and tackle it with a fork and spoon, like a very substantial soup/stew.

I can actually cope with rice, but in fairly modest portions. Sometimes I just can't be bothered to cook a little rice, so I just don't bother.

Part of the acceptance of this thing is finding ways to eat some of what we like. Often it isn't going to be the same as before, but it doesn't necessarily mean things are completely off-limits, just because we can't hack the accompaniments.

Very true, it's all a trial and error exercise until I find a balance I'm happy with.
