That is brilliant news Marko. Congratulations to you and your niece.
Thank you! I was a bit surprised when she said that she was going to remove the condition from my records.
Have you thought about this, and is it what you want? Being removed from the diabetic register will mean no more foot checks or retinal screening, and probably no more HbA1c's.
Where do you get your accu chek cassettes from Bluetit? I've been getting mine off ebay. No, I am waiting for some new cassettes to arrive, but I'm not on batch 44 now and this current batch 61 is fine. I did re-test and got exactly the same reading. My after breakfast reading confirmed it.
All such good news... how nice... you must be very proud of your niece...Had my 3 month check up. A1C was 5.4.
6 months Metformin free!! Dr. is very impressed. I go back in three months, and if my numbers are still this good.... She is going to remove "diabetic" from my charts are replace it with "short period of high glucose levels".
Last few weeks have been busy, and I haven't had much time to partisipate here. On another good note, my niece won a gold medal in the Canada Winter Games for Archery. Possible Olympic future for her. Total thrill for a 15 year old!
They started clearing the streets here in prep for spring, exposing the drains....etc. Wouldn't know it with last nights temp of -34c
Don't like... hope it a really short flare...5.6 today. Back to the testing after few days of erratic testing due to Mr E''s birthday celebrations. So busy that I hardly ate anything for two days and nothing carby. Didn't even sample my favourite raised veg and feta couscous dish!! Paying for all the activity and stress now as in fibromyalgia flare up.

Typical, your always there first, mine was £19.50, but someone just after, got for £16.00Ditto. I'm waiting for my last order to arrive. £18 for 100 with free postage. Pretty good I think, considering they are £25 for 50 retail.
I have a three-storey house..That's what I do!
My hand shake first, I start to yawn and find it very hard to summon the energy to speak... I sound a bit slurred I think...I cannot concentrate at all either... everything is such hard work.. The lady behind the counter recognised straight away what was wrong with me even though I didn't know, but her sister is Type 1, not 2... it was a good job really, as it was the first time I'd felt it... horrid... took about half an hour to get back, then I burst into tears..I stand corrected then. I'm curious though, how low do you go and why do you think your liver is not kicking in?
I was told go for a mile walk every day,at the end of the week ....i was 7 miles away:)
How very nice...5.0 this morning
Then I went to see the Diabetes Nurse
Yup! I was dreading it. I intended to be good this time and bite my tongue and smile sweetly.
But events overtook me........
I didn't need to. The professional practice nurse had been brought back out of retirement.
Which kind of tells me I was right about the other one.
So I feel like I had my first DSN appointment today.
Which went fabulouslyHave to go back Friday for the remainder of the appt.
So I'm very happy today, and the sun is shining, and it's like a spring day out there.

4.5 Last night
4.3 Fasting this morning with accu chec I'm so confused since the batch 44 sabotaged everything, didn't retest. Now quite low figures for me. I'll continue on this cassette and get an average.
I like the excitement BluetitI don't bother with the bidding ones, I always get a buy it now one. I get too excited otherwise
