I like the excitement Bluetit :D, but I don't think I had seen a 'Buy it Now' as low as yours, well done.

I'm wondering where these deals come from?

Neil

One lot I bought ages ago were in boxes with Polish writing on. They were genuine though, and all sealed with a proper instruction leaflet and whatnot. I think some of these dealers buy from abroad as they are much cheaper.

7.3 after dinner of chicken stir fry and a little rice only .4 rise from 6.9 before dinner. Hopefully going to church knitting group in the morning so will be testing a bit earlier . Maybe up before liver dumps its load.

5.6 today. Back to the testing after few days of erratic testing due to Mr E''s birthday celebrations. So busy that I hardly ate anything for two days and nothing carby. Didn't even sample my favourite raised veg and feta couscous dish!! Paying for all the activity and stress now as in fibromyalgia flare up.
Oh dear, hope it settles quickly. Hope Mr E had a great time and appreciate all the effort that went into making his day special....

Other diabetics who get scripts prescribed and don't use them - how do I know? One of mine had chemists label still on it ........

Wrap up warm when you go out Loulou x

Have you thought about this, and is it what you want? Being removed from the diabetic register will mean no more foot checks or retinal screening, and probably no more HbA1c's.

Her main objective is to factor out the points diabetes impacts the framingham scale. I think she's required to use that as a risk indicator for all her patients. The framingham scale is seriously flawed, and promotes the use of drugs big time. Doing this will take me off the radar for cholesterol lowering drugs, as age and diabetes pretty much have you on the drug for sure at one point in your life as you age.

I've always gotten a A1C test yearly with my physical in the past, and can't see that wouldn't continue. She knows that I'm controlling things with diet and that I'm anti medication if at all possible.

She said I can slow down (not stop) with my meter testing and reduce the frequency, but insisted that I test when trying new foods, or if I'm feeling bad or off with my health. I got the impression that she is willing to write future prescriptions for testing strips.

I'm covered for full eye testing every 2 years through insurance and the tests my Optometrist does are comprehensive, including retina imaging of internal eye structure. He usually pulls up the image on his computer and he goes through and discusses what he sees and what I will experience when I age. I just need to mention to him that I control my diabetes with diet and he'll make sure to do the full range of testing.

Not too worried at this point. :-)

We hit a high of -5C this afternoon... welcome site after the -34C over the last few days...

6.9 this morning up before alarm cursory of my lovely chest. Its driving me mad had 12 weeks of it now :-! :-!

Ouch! Hope it warms up soon:headphone: it's still very cold here, but warming and becoming more sunny day by day..... New Forest on the south coast of the UK
Crumbs, I'm only up the road in Wiltshire at the moment... :) I keep the heating on 18 at night because my feet get cold... Maybe it's because I live in a hot country usually and I'm not used to it any more, but even my sister says it's freezing and she's got a broken thermostat and never feels the cold much... :)

Your doctor and optician sound eminently sensible to me... and you can be proud of yourself I should think... Glad it's warming up for you... :)

That makes a lot of sense... Imagine how desperate you must be to sell your strips... :(
