Type 2's: What was your fasting blood glucose in a morning?

Going down.... fasting 5.6 this morning

But going up to this evening to 8.0 before dinner...

If I could just banish afternoons and early evenings I'd end up with fairly decent readings all day...

Generally it seems that I'm often worse off now than I was when I'd only recently started low carbing/testing this time last year.

Hi Alan, well done looking good so far

6.5 this morning was packing until 8.30 last night then had bacon, cheese and tomato with 2 Staffordshire oatcakes. So that will be the culprit. Not been that high in a morning for a long time. This moving lark is playing havoc with my eating pattern

4.7 this morning so made the sub-5 fortnight

I'm especially pleased because it was my Daughter's school dinner last night and instead of thinking "I'll have a night off" we spoke to the caterers beforehand and they sorted me out a low carb meal (prawns and smoked salmon with no dressing to start, salmon with a salad for main course and no dessert). I also restricted myself to a couple of glasses of red wine so I'd have been a bit fed up if my run had been broken after doing all that!

That's great progress in a short space of time - well done and welcome

I've been without test strips for the last 5 days but haven't missed testing a bit!

Its now 11 days since I started Forxiga and this morning's results are.......

Bedtime - 6.4
Fasting - 6.3

5.8 this morning after being up and about hslf an hour, I'd gone to wash my hands then did other things before testing! Bedtime was 5.5
Off to the office I go again- still need to catch up with you all on your posts I've missed last couple of days

4.7 a little lower than usual, all good though.

5.1 am fasting

Not sure this morning - tried in 3 different fingers but could not get enough so gave up and made a cup of tea instead
