A rubbish 6.5 today. Too much protein at dinner and I'm feeling very stressed as I've developed hives. They started on the Metformin and haven't cleared up yet and I'm fed up.
That's miserable... I hope you feel better soon...

So feel for you, it's horrible. For once I had a decent sleep but feel lousy. Friends bugs I think
I hope it's just a temporary bug... better soon...

That must be so frustrating.... never mind, you know you're doing well and so do we... I do hope the nasty thing goes away soon... it's a good point about keeping a sort of diary in case something stands out though...

Thank you for this... I have been with my son and granddaughter so a bit distracted..

6.2. Woke up right in middle of vivid dream with heart pounding.
I researched 'panic attacks' after a similar night and discovered that many of our foods are full of histamines - if you overdose on a few it can cause that reaction... it might tie in with your hives, no? I had been eating too many hazelnuts I think, on top of almonds and all the rest... I had made biscuits with peanut butter and had hazelnut butter in my hot chocolate... on top of almond flour and flax bread! It was too much I think, so now I try to be more aware... I could not believe the long list of histamine laden foods though... I will try to find the link for you later.... maybe you should try to nap today....

This morning I was at 6.3.

I use a Bio Star meter, it has PC software to keep track of levels but only works in MS Vista or XP so I have made a simple spreadsheet with simple formulae and conditional formatting ...

6.3 Saturday - 6.1 Sunday - 5.7 today...

4.5

4.5!!!!!!!

For supper last night I had two Polish Kabanos .... long thin chewy sausages.

Interesting - link would be great when you've time. I was beginning to wonder about whether it might be nuts. Not knowingly allergic but have eaten more than I used to - no nap today as pub quiz so swotting up xx

5.3 this morning - that'll teach me to get too cocky: My daughter had a pizza last night and I thought my blood's been so good I'd try a slice (first one since November). Not only did I not really enjoy it, it messed my BS up for the rest of the night (never got really, really high, but stayed around 7 for ages after being 4.7 beforehand) and knocked me off my sub 5 run this morning.

Back to LCHF goodness for me now and a timely reminder that diabetes is always in the shadows waiting to pounce, even when you think you've got it under control!

and don't that give you the heebies
