Back from the wilds of Northumberland after a perfect relaxing holiday, and the weather was very kind most days too.

Fastings from Saturday 21st March. Not too bad (could be better) considering different eating regimes.

21st. 6.1
22nd. 5.5
23rd. 5.5
24th. 5.7
25th. 6.0
26th. 5.7
27th. 5.8
28th. 5.4
29th. 6.2

It will take a while to catch up with everyone.

Welcome back Bluetit.
Glad you had a good holiday.
You have been missed.
Did you get to Holy Island?

Hi kimbo,
Just highlights the value of regularly timed meals . :)
Sometimes though its not possible so contingency plans at the ready.........

Welcome back Bluetit.

Did you get to Holy Island?

Thank you. Yes, we had a day on Holy Island and were blessed with a beautiful spring day, clear blue skies, blue sea, no wind, and able to picnic by the sea. We have been before and nothing changes. It is a glorious place, as is the rest of the heritage coastline. For any of you that have never been to this part of the UK, you are missing out.

Where else could you say I had a square of 70% and everybody knows exactly what you mean!

Guess the only positive is that you won't overheat whilst running today.... . I was a 5.8 today; must be the weather ad its awful here too.

Why DO you call where you are Saga Central.....
Well I live on the south east coast and our town is full of saga louts (tea fuelled oap's running you over in waitrose and aldi to get to the bargains). Plus saga headquarters is a mere 2 miles away. But that I'd by the by.☺

So the general consensus is to walk the dog not eat it ..think I'll stick to the treadmill...no fur no calories no carbs ...no teeth

7.9 this am.... Starve diet tomorrow ready for CT scan Monday .... toes crossed that all goes well not looking forward to it at all
Good luck PatsyB.... I hope it's much better than you fear it's going to be... I think it's the quiet scan, isn't it? Not horrid and noisy like the MRI?

26 mins later it is 4.2. I can only assume it was the soap in the bathroom that I had used to wash my hands. First time I had used that as I usually use the soap in the kitchen.
Phew... It's amazing how personally you take it when you get a high reading when you're not expecting it, and you haven't done anything to deserve it, isn't it?

I am using the AccuChek Mobile and I thought my readings were a bit high...

6.2; 6.8; 6.3 yesterday; 5.5 today.... at last... just because I'm back home I suppose...

Still there unfortunately. Ironic thing is that I had a check up at the dentists on Wednesday and got the all clear so I think he may have disturbed something. Looks a though I may be going back tomorrow or Tuesday if it doesn't settle.
That's happened to me before...no surprise way they sometimes prod and poke....

Hi been away for a few days but here are my readings 5.4 @ 08:30 on 23/3/15, 5.6 @ 08:22 on 24/3, 6.0 @ 08:30 on 25/3, 6.0 @ 07:53 on 26/3, 7.1 @ 08:10 on 27/3, 6.6 @ 08:05 on 28/3, 6.0 @ 08:30 on 29/3.

Ah, right. I qualify for the Saga part (great price on car insurance) and tho I.make a beeline for te reduced shelves hope I'm seen to be behaving in a rather more "dignified" manner than that

CT scans are quiet they look like a giant polo mint and are not a tunnel like MRI's my last one lasted about 20 mins and was a high resolution chest CT about a year ago. Hope all goes well

It's the ones high on tea that you have to watch out for. It is, of course, all meant in light hearted banter

Will watch my Dad for tea highs cause he an walking talking tea pot. Our kettle is never cold if Dad's in.
