Hi,
I have just read some of the symptoms of Type 3 diabetes and to be honest I'm almost crying with relief. I was diagnosed with T2 in 2012 and recently my numbers are scary high, this morning before I got out of bed I checked my bg and it's 17.8 fasting, I received a call from my DN to tell me they are introducing Glicazide onto my metformin meds as of today.
Anyway I came across the T3 forum as my brother has been diagnosed with hemochromatosis also known as iron blood, I was treated for acute pancreatitis caused by gall stones when I was 21and as get older I have fallen ill with a number of conditions including very high blood pressure and high cholesterol. For several years now I have suffered from terrible lower back pain and sciatica, even at night if I turn in my sleep the pain is bad enough to wake me up. I have previously expressed concern to my DN that I have turned into a hypochondriac. This is all starting to make sense now, thank you so much.
Dee

@deeds24, to be type3c you would be insulin dependent, you would be taking replacement enzymes to digest food as your panc would have no functionality at all, or you panc has been removed (TP)
Type3c doesn't cause high blood pressure or high cholesterol which and someone can correct me if I'm wrong is a problem with type 2
Also type 3c does have scary high readings but also scary low for no reason, the scary high will not stay (usually) (tests for dka)

Lots of people have seen great blood glucose readings following the LCHF diet so it may be worth while looking into that, unfortunately diabetes does usually mean you are susceptible to other autoimmune diseases

Thank you for that Sharon, I'm getting tested to check if I have hemochromastostis and the doctor told me more or less the same as you have. Your advice has been very helpful but unfortunately the LCHF diet doesn't work for me because my digestive system can't tolerate high fat.
