Just given my usual 8 units of lantus normally it really stings but has not. But seemed weird now not sure if it gone in. Do I wait till Tom or try again bit scared too still early days

Hi @Tylers73
did you do an air shot before injection >?

if it were me -- i would set an alarm for 2am - and if rising unnaturally -- i would give a small correction -- and at waking time if still not in range inject 1/2 lantus normal dose to assist covering the day
normal lantus dose the following evening

When you say small correction still with the lantus or novo rapid

novorapid -- you must be careful with a correction dose

Not sure, but lantus shouldn't really sting. Only time I notice is if it's a bit cold or I hit a nerve/ vain area. I know about it then.

If you did the air shot I'm thinking you got it. Lantus doesn't sting me either unless I hit something weird but I still seem to get it.

I found Lantus would burn/sting around 80% of the time.

Could be this time yours just didn't sting for a change.

I don't have any stinging now I'm on Levemir instead. I've found it to be a much more flexible and useful basal even if it's not quite as flat as Lantus.
