Type1 with pump in Somerset

Hello all,

I just want to introduce myself to you. I have moved to the UK about a year ago from Hungary. I have type 1 diab and use Roche Accu-Check pump.
In general I don't really have good sugars, and my HBA1C is around 9. :?
With my partner we really want a baby, but in this situation, we know, it's impossible.

According to Hungary, healthcare is much better here, except the diabetes care. I don't really feel, they really want to help me. So far I had one appointment with a diabetes doctor in a hospital.

So I'm on to find a good doctor, or nurse, who could give me advices - when I need them. Do you know a good one?
I live in Street, Somerset.
Is there anyone, with pump and/or Type 1 near me? I'd love to meet you.

I live about 12ish miles away from you...

Which hospital are you under, as I'm not sure whether Street comes under Musgrove or the out patients at Bridgwater Hospital but same team...

What sort of problems are you having with your control, as with a A1c of 9% it sounds as though you are running slightly high or suffering a lot of spiking with your control and I assume this is where you are struggling with what to do to see if you can change it...

I'm also on the spirit pump..
