Well done on your improvements! They have been a godsend to see how my body reacts to foods. I'm just a bit worried about not testing!!! What do you guys think.
Great result @Dee1960Hi I'm just wondering as you can see from my graph to which I'm really happy aboutbeen to see doctor today and she has told me I'm not diabetic anymore but pre diabetic but I need to keep taking the tablets. She has also taken my sensors off me and told me not to test. I was given the sensor because they thought I was type 1 but turn out to be type 2. They have been a godsend to see how my body reacts to foods. I'm just a bit worried about not testing!!! What do you guys think.
Thank youGreat result @Dee1960
That's very true, I've even been checking a couple of times through the night. So hopefully I'll get a full night's sleep now, lol.To go from the late eighties to the low forties is an achievement. I too have had several CGMs over the years, and whereas they're useful, they can become a bit addictive. Well done!
Once you get to a certain value, and have learnt what you can and shouldn't eat, you're better off just occasionally using one if you feel the need. I know others will disagree, but each to his or her own. That's very true, I've even been checking a couple of times through the night. So hopefully I'll get a full night's sleep now, lol.
I think the UK is the only country that sees testing your own blood unnecessary. It is encouraged here in Canada.I too am "in remission". I am still diabetic T2 and the only reason I know this is because I test my blood. Disapproval all round from dn and GP. I self-fund the testing strips and go through periods of testing as if I was still on medication (none since 2018). If I didn't do this I would undoubtedly believe I was in the clear (according to Hb1ac) and start eating things I shouldn't - i.e. bread, rice, pasta, fruit, potatoes. I can't afford to test on a permanent basis but I find it extremely odd that the GP and various dns seem to think I am somehow deluded or "naughty".
