I was given a testing kit in hospital which was probably just as well. I don’t understand why GPs refuse these to monitor ourselves.
I couldn’t monitor or manage without one. If I’m right Diabetes.co.uk recommend we have a kit!
I don’t buy my testing equipment, I get it on prescription! Yes I’m a T2, probably lucky the hospital prescribed it in the first place.
I self fund Libre2 because I hate pricking and my fingers do to, bruised. It’s better as I can see graph and how I’m reacting. So much easier than having to prick several times.
I know they take readings from different level of the skin, I have taken a pork reading and CGM and an average from the two on occasion.
