I have been diagnosed with type 1diabetes for about 3months when I was first diagnosed I lost a lot of weight .. I have now lost more weight about 18pounds in a short space , I'm also feeling sick and have a lot of headaches ? Any one know what it could be ..?

When do the headaches happen? Morning, evening or any time of day? Do you vomit when you feel sick? Any pain in the stomach or back? Any other symptoms? And how old are you? Sorry for all the questions, just trying to get a bigger picture of things! Have your sugars been well controlled since you were diagnosed? Are you still really thirsty?

Hi @Heathfshaw, you don't mention the insulin regime you are on our the blood sugar results that you are seeing. How frequently do you test? It would allow those who wish to help to have a better understanding of where you are if you can provide some of this information. The advice will be much better.

Hello, I have been controlling my blood sugar well , but recently started to be lower that expected , I get headaches mainly at night and sickness too , my bloods bf had been well controlled and I test about 5timea a day

Can you help by providing more details of your current insulin regime, levels of carbs eaten, etc. Saying you have had good bloods doesn't really assist anyone in trying to help.

You need to go visit your GP no one can give you medical advice. That amount of weight loss would concern me unless deliberately dieting.
