Hi
I'm wondering if anyone has any ideas on why since lowering my intake of starchy carbs, my blood sugars seem to unexpectedly rocket? (I've been following this ragim for a month).
E.g. I wake to a blood sugar of between 7 and 10 (vast improvement and good for me).
I then take 6 to 9 units of humalog, have a lactose free coffee and a small portion of fresh fruit. (this in prep for moderate excersize .... lifting and sweeping after 4 horses .... roughly 1.5 hrs work). I then test again and can have a result of 16/18?
I power walk/jog 3 miles around 4 times a week.
It seems my sugars are highest between 9:30am and 1/2pm. I can have a low around mid to late evening.
I'm eating roughly 1.000 calories a day and it's mainly veg, proteins, small amount of fruit first thing. My diet, I would say I'd LCHF.
I take between 27 & 29 units, (excersize and diet considered), of Lantus at 8pm.
Any ideas?
Thank you in advance.
