I do not have diabetes
Hi everyone,

I'm a second year graphic design student at Bath Spa University, one of my current projects is to create a visual document regarding a group of people, my chosen group is diabetics, which is something which I have grown up with having two older brothers who are type one diabetics, along with grandparents one being type 1 and the other being type 2. For my project I am designing an infographic, I need as much information a possible and please be the people who help me in this!

I was hoping to reach out to a wider audience and get your though and feelings, of what you went through to find out you was diabetic, over coming challenges, those challenges being friend and family having to understand how to deal with your new life styles, how to adapt to your every day lifestyle etc. Absolutely anything that you have been though I need to know about it!

Any feedback would be amazing, feel free to PM!

Much appreciated!

:) Jemma

Hi. I am a type 2 diabetic . I found out in oct last year. I knew something wasn't right. In some ways it came as a blow to me as I had been loosing weight and generally keeping fit( I run 3 times a week). It can be difficult to make sure you take your meds and test your blood. People's attitudes can be difficult . I work in a school and some people forget that I need to eat at lunch . In the past I have been able to miss lunch to do jobs bit now it's important for me to eat regular . Hope this helps.
