Hi guys! I'd appreciate any feedback that anyone can give me:

Having always found it tough to lose weight in the past, I've now lost a stone in the last 8 (ish) weeks. Ive not changed anything diet wise - if anything have been eating too much rubbish (especially ice cream!!) To begin with i thought this was great as Im not having to do anything! but just recently have begun to wonder whether I should be concerned?
I am also feeling v wiped out, irritable etc alot of the time and can sleep for England!

I haven't been to the doctor as I feel like im prob worrying over nothing - maybe is just one of those things. A friend of mine mentioned I should be tested for diabetes, but after looking I dont seem to have any of the other symptoms, ie excessive thirst, peeing etc.

Id really appreciate some feedback from those of you in the know! After all, you're the ones with the experience - what d'ya reckon?

Thanks x

Thanks Dave -
drinking wise I prob have bout coffees at work, but once home (half 3) I drink pints of water, prob about 5 or so I guess.
Food wise - I skip breakfast cos am always late for work! have school dinners at work with the kids, then a snack early evening, sandwich/fruit/crisps etc. I have bad habit of picking in the evening which often turns into pigging something sweet (Ben & Jerrys if lucky! or sweets/choc).
not the healthiest diet I know! :?

Whatever it is diabetes or something else, it need investigating. that rate of weight loss isn't right. Go see a doctor!
If it turns out to be diabetes, get back to us. we'll help as much as we can

ditto what hanadr said, that's a lot of weight to loose with no reason, you should get it checked out. Sorry I can't help you re: diabetes though!

Thanks for the posts guys - made me realise that maybe I should check it out, even if it is nothing. I saw the doctor today and she's booked me in for fasting glucose blood test on thursday. Sure all will be fine, but thanks for the advice. x

I lost a lot of weight with no other symptoms prior to my diabetes diagnosis. I'm glad to hear you are going to get checked out. Unexplained weight loss always needs investigating.
