Hi All
My blood sugar test readings are driving me up the wall, I was diagnosed T2 about three yrs ago after a massive heart attack which killed 25% of my heart muscle, a few months after I was diagnosed T2, I have had a great deal of trouble getting my levels down, and have now decided to go carbo free, I have just been refused surgery (not major, under nerve block) because when my blood readings came back after my pre surgery I had a Hba1c reading of 106.

I now test regualarly using a Onetouch Ultraeasy tester, but my readings are so unstable I am at a total loss, my last reading last night was 6.4 before breakfast today it was 9.6 two hours later it was 16.2 after lunch (2hrs) 6.2 I am on 3 met forming 500mg a day, plus one Glibenclamide (i think thats how it's spelled) daily does anyone have any ideas as to what may be going on ?

Sorry. I can't help. I'm type one, so treated differently.

I'd recommend you go back to your doctors or diabetic nurse. You might need to be put on insulin.

Hello, I am also type two, I would certainly go back to your doctor for a review of your medication, I am on 3 metformin and 2.5 Glicazide a day.
Are you checking what you are eating as well, if you have an iPad or iPhone, or Android then try using 'My Fitness Pal' to check the food you are eating, this is a free app and recently when my doctor retired my new doctor refused to give me test strips and lancets as I was T2, so I started using this App and it has changed what I eat and when and my levels are now better at night. I bought a new meter and buy my own test strips and lancets. And test once a day at night.
