Still feeling ill. Rang and got my results and hca1 is up from 6.8 to 8.4. Not as high as expected so maybe something else. I am on stelazine for bipolar and that was increase recently so could be that. I need to get it lower before may to be able to stay on victoza

Sorry to read you still aren't feeling great Ally. Does it say on the leaflet that your Stelazine may cause raised BS levels? When do you see your doctor? You need a long talk with him. Take care, and keep those carbs down.

I see the diabetic be tickets nurse in may where I will have another blood test. Gp doesn't, t want to see me but wants my levels to be down by may to stay on the victoza. B's levels are known to rise with the stelazine

Could it be that the stelazine doesn't agree with you? I think you should contact the doctor who treats the bipolar and ask if you could try a different medication. The point in treating a condition is that you should feel better, not worse.

I truly am sorry that you feel this way, and you certainly don't deserve it.

With that said, based on what you've shared with the forum, it's a bit obvious why you're feeling poorly. I don't know how to say that without it coming across rude, but it's the truth.

Hi ally1, back to your docs and tell them to consider alternatives that don't make you worse

I tend to agree with Totto and Clive. I think you need to see the relevant doctor and discuss your bipolar treatment, explaining you think it is raising your BS, which you can't afford to happen, and ask if the increase in dose is possibly making you feel worse. There will be alternatives to try. Meanwhile, please don't dive for the biscuit tin!

Hi Ally. So sorry to her you are feeling ill, and that your levels are (as I thought I had noticed some signs of improvement here and there in your morning posts). It's so frustrating to feel unwell and to be unsure what to put it down to - a side-effect of meds, a backward step, food, a bug...really make sit difficult to stay positive and focused. I'd been making really good progress recently but over the past week or so...weak all round and not good. I guess we just do what we can and we look for better times ahead. I hope it all gets easier for you real soon. Paul
