Sorry not been around for awhile. Although have been lurking. Alot has happened over the past few weeks. At last I had my op to remove the white patches on my vocal chords two weeks ago. That went well although my voice is still like a whisper. I see the voice speech specialist on thursday. Last week I saw the eye people. They don't feel that my squint is causing any issues re my balance. I go back in two months is to have further eye to walking tests just confirm that. Then if that is ok, then go on the waiting lists to have the squint repaired.they did say, as my squint is my lazy eye and only slight sight in it, they would normally say no to the repair as it's classed as being cosmetic. The consultant said as the neurologist had referred me, then the eye dept said they will get round the op somehow. Next week, I see the neuro physio for an assessment to see if they can suggest anything to help my walking because of the neuropathy and ataxia. Now the best part. Week before last, I had a knock at my door, it was my gp. I had no idea he was coming to do a home visit. He has had his knuckles well slapped. He did a thorough check over me, as he also had a report about the throat op. I am well over due for my HbA1c test but unable at the moment to go for that as my legs just would not get me there and back. Thank you all for encouraging me to be forceful to get where I am now
