So I've just had this letter. Looking more and more like type 2. Still so resistant to insulin but only been on 1 metformin a day for a week so I'm hoping to see some improvement soon. So tired of all of this IMG-20190614-WA0007~2.jpeg

It does seem to suggest you have insulin sloshing around that your body is struggling to use efficiently.

When you do the 24 hour uring collection, please ensure you have the appropriate volume of container or containers. I had to redo mine (which was for investigations into my cortisol), as I filled the initially provided container by just after lunch.

It's probably worthwhile doing on a day you're based at home, so maybe a Sunday over into Monday if you work away from home.

When I handed in my urine sample to the reception next morning, I htink the receiving receptionist was expecting a little 50ml vial, not the two ginagerous containers I handed her in a box. She couldn't quite work out where best to stick the additional labels it needed. :)

I do hope you get some clarity soon, so that you can settle into improving your lot and your health. Uncertainty is horrid.

Seems as though you are very insulin resistant. If you have plenty of endogenous, plenty of exogenous, and are still struggling with control, then I’d imagine you are extremely insulin resistant. That being the case, then dietary measures are probably your only real choice.
