upset in clinic today

<blockquote data-quote="sugarybibs" data-source="post: 108594" data-attributes="member: 11003"><p>Hi all went to my diabetes clinic today feeling very happy.Couldnt believe doctor he said"it seems i am wasting my time and yours with these results.I thought he was joking ive never felt better.i thought my blood sugars were ok.I have been attending this hospital for over 39 years never missed an appointment never been brought in for any hypos etc.I have only seen this doctor the last 3 times and each time he has said not very nice things.My blood pressure was checked and this was normal my colestral was 4.2 okay my bis were down from 8.0 last time to 7.4 and he said this was awful.I wouldnt mind i do everything properly.test before each meal know how much insulin ratio to my food etc.i was so upset i cried when i seen the nurse.This doctor then said if i dont get blood sugars sorted i would have to see my own gp in future!!!i was gobsmacked.last time i went he said "if you were in the country i came from you wouldnt be alive today!!i am never ill and do not bother anyone about my diabetes.Its not as if its self inflicted i got this when i was a skinny teenager not a middleaged overweight type 2 kind.he also said the novrapid i take which i try to vary between 6 to 8 units with each meal.i only have very low carbs with each meal he said that is what he only starts people newly diagnosed with!!and its very low dose and wouldnt do anyone any good!!!!has this happened to anyone else i coudnt believe what he was saying.He said he cant see anyone having a high of 17 then dropping to a 3.Well i do have this happen every so often but i sort it myself.i mean i wouldnt bother going to the clinic but i thought we all go to see how we are.My notes were lost at this hospital over 3 years ago now and i have done everyhting to trace them got in touch with all kinds of people and still they have not been found.i was thinking when i got home if this doctor had a different persons notes in front of him like a druggie or alcoholic.Anyway ive written to the chief executive of hospital telling him about this doctor and how i was talked to to see what can be done.I wouldnt mind i dont smoke hardly drink and keep to my diet and insulin.He also went mad when i said i would not to simvastatin.When i asked last time if i could change from lantus he said there was nothing wrong with lantus and after him saying i was wasting his time changed me to levemir which i started yesterday.has this happened to anyone else.By the way my hospital is in liverpool.every other doctor i used to see were lovely and always praised me for doing so well having had this condition for so long.He has asked nurse to see what my blood sugars are in the next fortnight and if no change will tell me to see my own doctor.Surely he cannot stop me attending my diabetes clinic my own doctor does not know anything about diabetes.Has anyone any suggestions what i should do i am so upset</p></blockquote><p></p>
