Doctor's have just called me back for the 4th urea and electrolytes blood test in the last four weeks. I think it means dehydration which is common in people with a stoma, and also diabetes?
I've had kidney damage in the past caused by meds, and I'm always aware that i should drink more than most people because of the stoma and diabetes, but can't help wondering if it could be connected to pancreas problems and high BG levels?

A worry for you @rowan.

It could be malabsorption issues associated with Chron's disease? If your kidneys are now functioning normally then that would not be an issue.

Ask your G.P. why he needs to repeat these tests so frequently.

I'm seeing the DN on Tuesday but I am going to make an appointment to see doctor a few days after blood test. It seems daft doing one test after another yet not asking to see me about it! All I've been told was to drink a pint of water in the hour before the next test, first time they've told me that.
