Not been looking after myself and after buying test strips I had reading of 9.7 2hrs after a meal with moderate carbs and 7.6 in after a low carb meal. Time to go very low carb I think. My body feels damaged. Sigh

Come on @VioletViolet . You can fix this. Plenty of us here have been in similar place, and will cheer you on. Keep posting, keep striving.

Not fantastic, but you could be doing worse... Just a few little adjustments and you're good to go again.

You've got this!

There's an old saying about seeing one immigrant swallow not making it summer, and the same applies to a (hopefully unusual) spike or two showing on our meters - it's a warning not the cause of a major dietary disaster - and it can happen to all of us sometimes. So just take heed and consider what you ate in those meals to see what particular food(s) might have caused those figures, and avoid or be wary of them in the future - no need for any really dramatic changes. And to put it in perspective 7.6 is an officially acceptable post meal result.

{My meter allows me to set myself an acceptable target glucose range, which will split 3 months worth of logged readings into fasting, pre, and post meal results, and indicate how many have been within range and how many above or below. I prefer to rely on this analysis rather than get too fussed over any individual higher figures.)
