Urinary Problem

Hi everyone, I am type 2 diabetic and my BG levels are fairly good at the moment but have a very strange urinary problem, it feels like I continually need to pee, when I do go, after a minute or two it feels like I have to go again but cant. I am pretty sure it is not a UTI as there is no burning, bad smell/cloudiness (i did have a mild UTI a few years ago and know what it is like)
Don't think it is a prostate problem (I am male by the way) as I produce a good strong steady stream and never need to get up in the night etc etc.
This horrible sensation is with me all the time, I try and drink plenty of water and have tried cranberry pills, I have also given up coffee.
Has anyone else experienced these symptoms, particularly the male members on here.
Any advice or views would be very much appreciated.
 
Ive had 2 UTIs first one was very burny and resulted in the dr looking at me like a ***** as she was convined I had an STI. Second one was as you described. I drank a lot of water and then went and got antibiotics. Best bet is to see the dr.

definitely get it checked out by doc.

I can't offer any more advice than that, but these things rarely sort themselves out, and sometimes the longer you delay, the worse they get...

I keep getting water infections latest one as you say you feel as if you keep wanting to pass water I am on months of antibiotics because of infection in my bone of big toe. So they are reluctant to give me any more but still got it,I would see Dr about yours.
 
It may be worth asking your doctor for a urine test to check for Urine protein (it can be done with a dipstick). The symptoms you describe could also be linked to kidney issues.
 
Had a blood test not long ago (diabetic review) and my kidney function was fine and did a urine dip stick test and no infection detected.
 
a week ago today I took a water sample into the Doctors because I said I had a water infection, I rang twice in the week to see if they had the results of the water test and was told it was not back from the lab...then Friday I get a call from the practise nurse telling me the sample was no good and could I do another one ...all this time i am trying to keep the pain under control and the uncomfortable burning feeling below sending me crazy....today i take another sample in it is my day off and thought get a lay in WRONG 4 am the pain woke me and off to the toilet i go only to find i now have started to bleed with the infection.....will have to wait four more days before I get a result back ...I am wondering do they in the surgery like to make you suffer or what??
 
I'd make an appointment with the doctor. You need treatment NOW!
 
made that yesterday...saw the Doctor last eve and he gave me some nitrofurantoin tabs lets hope I soon feel better

Hi patsyB, i had these about 5 months ago for prostitis,a months worth,they worked eventually...hope you get well soon
 
Neuropathic bladder?
 
I got four days worth and hope they work too ...so far filled me with wind
