Urinating at night

My BG was 23.9 when I started, 7 weeks ago & I was constantly urinating at night (even if not drinking water). My BG is slowly coming down. Last night it was 12 & I still got up 6 times for the toilet. Does anyone have this problem? And at what point is it going to disappear? I'm so tired & haven't had a proper sleep for over a month now.

Thanks everyone x

Yes...once you are able to maintain it below 10, it should be better. Because that is the renal threshold to start discharging the glucose thru the urine. Consider carbs reduction and having light dinner. I find that to be very helpful.

Ditto to what has been said but would add do please remember not to let your self become dehydrated so make sure you drink plenty of water.

Since starting a low carb diet regime, this has improved a lot: down from 4 or 5 visits to the loo per night to 1 or 2 (sometimes none!) And I drink lots of water...

it is annoying I know as I never used to wake up in the night for the toilet now happens regularly...

I found that for me the higher the BG the night trips to the loo, since getting my BG numbers down to 5-6 I only have one loo visit early morning between 2-3am which is handy, as once I'm up I use it as my cue to get breakfast ready and head out to the gym.

Should add my numbers were high 22-35 when I started out and it took just over 2 months to come down to within the normal range.
