Hubby has found the above book very useful. You can also buy a book of recipes separately. Essentially it advocates the Atkins diet with exercise (not re-inventing the wheel here) but it's handy if you are looking for some new meal ideas
I have both books and agree they are very good. I disagree about them being Atkins based, though. Dr. Moseley describes the diet as Mediterrean-ising with the emphasis on whole foods and healthy fats.
Moseley's book was the first I bought after diagnosis having been a fan of his tv documentaries from the start. His honesty shines out, for me as does his non patronising arguments on diet and excercise. I was so taken with the Blood Sugar book that I went on to buy his book on gut health even though, fingers crossed, I don't have problems in that area.
I would agree they are not closely based on Atkins - much more balanced in terms of fat / protein, also the recipes cover a range from v low to moderate low carb content without induction phases etc
They may be based on what Atkins said about diabetes, remember his main book was about weight lose (with quick results) not about life long diabetes control.

that's really what I meant Ringi- Atkins was all about quick weight loss following a low carb diet and it wasn't about diabetes. Obviously didn't explain myself properly but it's handy to have more recipe ideas from my point of view
