I have both books and agree they are very good. I disagree about them being Atkins based, though. Dr. Moseley describes the diet as Mediterrean-ising with the emphasis on whole foods and healthy fats.
Moseley's book was the first I bought after diagnosis having been a fan of his tv documentaries from the start. His honesty shines out, for me as does his non patronising arguments on diet and excercise. I was so taken with the Blood Sugar book that I went on to buy his book on gut health even though, fingers crossed, I don't have problems in that area.
 
They may be based on what Atkins said about diabetes, remember his main book was about weight lose (with quick results) not about life long diabetes control.

that's really what I meant Ringi- Atkins was all about quick weight loss following a low carb diet and it wasn't about diabetes. Obviously didn't explain myself properly but it's handy to have more recipe ideas from my point of view :)
