soaps on telly and people talking about the characters as if they were real.
T1 husband and I plan our main meal menus a week ahead and shop to the list those generate. We're a household of 2 OAPs and our resources are not huge. This method of shopping has saved about £20 per week since we started it. Combined with cooking from fresh.
Today, we had a small pork loin joint ready prepared in a foiltray and dressed with honey and mustard. cooked according to the instructions, it was lovely and I made gravy from the juices[thesse littlepork loin joints have been a serendipidous discovery!].Served with loads of Brussels and a couple of baby new potatoes. For dessert I poached pears in red wine sweetened with Stevia and floavoured with orange zezt and juice, cinnamon and cardomom. served with cream and with dark chocolate ground over the top, we had a real "fine dining" experience. Linch is my only meal usually on a Sunday
