I would like to ask if I use a diffent make of insulin pen as the ones I use at the minute are not very good and keep breaking would a 3ml insulin vile work in any 3ml pen.
I am using an Autopens at the min with pork hypurin insulin 3ml and I am looking for any other pen which will work with this insulin as I am not able to use human insulin as it causes bad problems with my heart.
I am almost sure that Workhardt cartridges will fit in a Lilly pen (Humapen) as they are the same shape I believe as Aventis. There are a few posts on the forum with instructions for putting an Aventis (Lantus, Apidra) cartridge in a Lilly pen. All you have to do is attach a pen needle before you screw the pen together as a stream of insulin will come out the needle as you do so but once you have primed the pen you will be able to use it with no bother.
Heyy..There is no any issue for using another type of insulin pens if you are not comfortable with the auto pens..But the big problem which may arises is That how to handle them??..Becuse every pen has it's own functions..So handle it carefully..
