Variable carbs in labelling

I've just been looking at labelling on some of the 'raw' foods I've bought recently, and there seems to be a fair bit of variation in the carb/fibre figures. I just wondered if anybody could explain for me. Two main examples (all figures per 100g):

Almonds
Co-op: Carbs 9.1g (of which 4.4g sugars); Fibre 13g
Sainsburys: Carbs 13.3g (of which 5.3g sugars, 1.5g starch); Fibre 6.8g

Walnuts
Co-op: 7.0g (of which 2.6g sugars); Fibre 6.7g
Morrisons: Carbs 3.3g (of which 2.6g sugars); Fibre 3.5g

Other figures (Kcals, fat, protein etc) all look fairly similar.

Apart from natural differences, that occur due to type of almond tree, season, etc., and the occasional label with US measures instead, they do make errors - worth contacting head office.

Are they roasted at all as that may chnage the values..

Otherwise these are the numbers from the McCance and Widdowson tables used by UK food manufacturers

Thank you all for all this.

Mr Pot: that's fascinating, as the picture on that link shows exactly the same packaging as the nuts which showed the Sainsbury's figures I listed - so Sainsbury's alone list 6.9g vs 13.3g of carbs on the very same product! (Again, other figures vary a bit, but nowhere near by almost double!). Certainly, the 6.9g is much closer to what I expected; seeing 13.3g is what started me asking questions. I might pursue that with Sainsbury's, as the variation seems suprisingly large.

Bulkbiker: no, they're not roasted, but standard 'raw', kernels.
