I wish to purchase a Hba1c Control Kit for the Siemens DCA Vantage Analyser. When I purchase the machine I submitted the form o the retailer and the sale was exempt from VAT.
I am buying the control kit from a different retailer and they said that I need to submit the form to HMRC to obtain an exemption certificate. This does not seem right to me:
"What happens with the VAT exemption form?
You should hand over the VAT exemption form to your retailer. They will then use it in their accounting to show where VAT exemption was applied."
