I have made it before when I had an abundance of mandarins on my tree and was looking for something to do with the zest. That recipe looks similar actually. I made the mistake of using regular dried chilli which makes it pretty hot. The one I buy (House Foods brand) says "red pepper" in the ingredients rather than chilli, which might be the same thing, but i find it to be less hot than the homemade one, which is good because you can sprinkle it more liberally. It makes everything taste better! It must be terrible being in lockdown so long - I hope things get better for you soon and you can freely buy schichimi togarashi and sprinkle it on <em>everything</em>! <img src="data:image/gif;base64,R0lGODlhAQABAIAAAAAAAP///yH5BAEAAAAALAAAAAABAAEAAAIBRAA7" class="smilie smilie--sprite smilie--sprite1" alt=":)" title="Smile :)" loading="lazy" data-shortname=":)" /></p><p></p><p></p><p></p><p>Me too! I had pineapple yesterday as well. I have some sweet potato hummus in the fridge so might have that for lunch.
