Hi everyone, I don't know if have done this properly but here goes.
I have just come back from a 10 day holiday to gran canaria. All of the holiday I caught a bug and was sick most of the time, and kept getting dizzy spells. The last two days I became well again and treated it how I should of treated it. I still got these dizzy spells when I go to one side, I went to the doctors on Tuesday and she diagnosed me with vertigo and that it is just the aftermath of the viral infection I had. Thing is when I was being sick my blood sugars were constantly low? Now I'm back they are 20.1 and in the 17 18. Last night I even took and extra injection before bed to try and get it down but woke up this morning to 17.1! I have no ketones just finding it weird why my blood sugars are shooting up so high, can anyone help?

Perhaps consider changing your insulin to fresh cartridges ie, ones you did not take on holiday with you just in case there's a problem with storage/heat and it's been damaged.

Yeah I have already done all that. I am doubling up my Insulin so much but it is still not coming down. I'm not to worried as haven't got ketones just worried why it's running so high and not coming down no matter what I do.

Have you checked your blood glucose monitor is working properly? You probably have, but heat affected insulin is the only other thing that springs to mind & you have already changed that
