Very frightened what to expect

Was that supposed to be reassuring? The OP hasn't been diagnosed with anything yet. No need to panic even if he/she has diabetes, certainly not before diagnosis. Complications are a long term thing and can be offset with diet or medication.
 
I’ve never had numbness as a diabetic so not sure about that one but trust me don’t look up your symptoms google always make it sound worse than it is you may be able to be treated with pills but if you need injections it’s really not that bad I used to hate the injections but you get used to them and after a while they are almost painless
 
I understand but I’m was advised here to try take a glucose test so I did it read 87 before breakfast in the morning so my question is is this good or bad do I have diabetes?

From that one reading, not diabetic, but single readings are unreliable, an HbA1c test at the doctor's gives an average for the previous 3 months and is used for diagnosis.
 
I got tingling in my fingers from high cholesterol. It could also be carpal tunnel syndrome. Try not to panic, hope all goes well.

I found after taking statins, it went..you can also get white spots around your eyes with high cholesterol ( doc told me that one)

87 in US units is 4.7 in English ones, and is an extremely normal reading which does not in itself suggest diabetes. (Normal range is 4 to 7). Having said that, as @Mr_Pot said, single readings aren't much use for diagnosis (unless they are wildly high in which case you know you've got a problem). Honestly, I'm not sure why you're so sure you've got diabetes, as you haven't said anything about the most common symptoms, extreme thirst and tiredness.

New one on me.. then again is high cholesterol bad? No way would you get me on statins.. ever.

Have a read around of some of the statins threads on the forum and you'll see.
Some doctors see them as wonder drugs others as a form of poison.. they also are known for raising blood sugar so not great for Type 2's. At least that is what I think others differ but as I say you'll never get me to take them. And also for older people (especially females) higher cholesterol levels appear to be protective.
 
@bulkbiker maybe that’s why my bs were high initially - but I still will take them for the next 3 days (no diabetic meds test) as I was told high cholesterol furs your arteries. I think mine is genetic HC as always ate low fat previously.
In saying that since diagnosis and following low carb med fat diet my blood test cholesterol came back at 1.1 but was on metformin at the time also ( 1x 500mg)

@chet808 I found cutting my toenails vastly improved my toes from tingling
 
Thanks all ! I guess I gotta just see what doc says on Wednesday!
