Hi all, am T1 diabetic, on LCHF right now, everything seems to be great, except that my blood pressure is too low, when I wake up my BP is 80/45, and during the day 95/65, I tried to eat much more salt, and drink much water, but it didn’t work at all, the problem is that I can feel my heart beats all the time, and start to worry a lot about

Anyone had this b4? Or have an explanation?!!!!

Could you pls help, thanks a lot

Yes I get that, although not all the time. Mostly it's 90/50 ish.

I am obliged to take BP meds after my heart bypass although I never had high BP before so it can go quite low, but I'm told it's OK as long as I don't have symptoms. Probably best to talk to your doctor if you are concerned.

Hi Zaher,

I tested my blood pressure about one hour ago, was 98/65 and pulse of 66. Sometimes its even lower. I also have had bypass surgery and take BP medications in small dosages.
Best to test your pulse rate manually, to make sure that it has a steady and REGULAR beat . ie that its regular and doesnt jump beats.

Hi @zaher - Yes I take Ramipril 1.25mg. I'm also prescribed Bisoprolol 1.25mg but don't always take it because when I do it's difficult to get up 3 flights of stairs to my flat (I assume there is not enough BP to get enough blood to legs if I do ;) )

@Pasha there is an alert on my BP machine for irregular heartbeat. Luckily only saw it once when I stood up during a test, but good to know it works.

Thats a good feature to have on your BP machine. I had irregular heart beat in the past and at one stage I was hospitalised with atrial fibrillation, thats why I mentioned manually testing the pulse rate.ie arrhythmia

Seems that many who have had bypass surgery also get atrial fibrillation at some stage. Dont want to be alarmist so pay attention to the word many IE not all.

Drinking water might work out till last but salt quantity needs to be reduced to overcome blood pressure or else keep yourself closest to running or workout session. plz avoid cigrette or else stuffs related to eat.I have been under surgery 3 times before that is why I am scare of your situation better note it and be safe my friend

thank you all, you've been so helpful
the most annoying thing for me now is that feeling of my heart beats all the time, it will drive me crazy .

Go see a doctor and get it checked out, best to put you mind at rest. Always better safe than sorry.
