Hi

If you don’t want to read the lot skip to the end for the question.

we have a family history of diabetes. Of my father’s sisters one was type 1 and the other type 2. My great grandfather was type 1 also so I guess no surprise that I was diagnosed as a type two about 6 years ago. Originally on Metformin with bad results (to graphic to describe) and then was moved onto Gliclazides. Started one 80mg a day then 2 but in the last 18 months Hb1AC been stair casing. Doctor put me on 3 a day and it made no difference at all to my levels.

So now back to one a day but started Victoza. Week 1 was 0.6mg and after 4 days it felt like my insides had stopped working i.e. no food processing and had mild but not extreme nausea. That subsided and after 7 days I upped the dose to the 1.2 as instructed. Now, some 5 days later same thing has happened only this morning its clear that my stomach is well out of sorts. I dont want to eat but need to for my other meds and its debatable whether or not anything would remain in place.

So the question. Has anyone else had this bunging up and how long were peoples settling in period on this. Just wondering how long to persevere before I give in because it is working in all other aspects.

Thanks
