Hi All..
1st post and a question to go with it.
i was diagnosed type 2 about 10 years ago and put on meformin and insulin background dose. then promptly had what they called a diabetic honeymoon for18 months or do with little to no symptoms.the need for insulin seemed to come and go.
then around 2 years ago hba1 was >80 so it was decided insulin had to stay.
had a very hard time managing it due to odd work patterns and my hba1 has been 80+ for 2 years.
then started on victoza just over a month ago. WOW wonder drug at least as far as blood sugar levels go. every reading on my meter since starting has been normal for the 1st time in years.
had mild nausea for a few weeks but was well worth it to see normal blood readings .. and strange toilet patterns not going for a few days at a time then non stop runs for a few hours.

anyway .. yesterday my next started hurting a bit .. just above adams apple on left and right sides of neck.. hard to explain where without a picture.
on looking around the net it confuses me . .. can be a side effect that go's away // can be thyroid which is worrying me. or could just be a sore throat

It sounds like swollen glands from your description @magyosha but we cannot diagnose on the forum. Best to see your G.P. if it continues.

This article talks about swollen glands and might be helpful,

When to see your GP
See your GP if you have swollen glands and:

  • they haven't gone down within a few weeks or are getting bigger
  • they feel hard or don’t move when you press them
  • you also have a sore throat and find it difficult to swallow or breathe
  • you also have unexplained weight loss, night sweats or a persistent high temperature (fever)
  • you don't have an obvious infection and don't feel unwell
