There is a meeting in our village hall next week by a lady from Diabetes.uk. I would go just to see what they say but I fear I would not be able to keep my mouth closed. Mind you I might see a few neighbours there so I could give them the correct information.

And what information is that exactly?
 
@GrantGam The correct information is not the 'eat badly plate' fo and T2. I have spoken to a few T2 diabetic people in the village and their diet is terrible. I asked one lady, who is now on insulin, what she had for breakfast - her reply - two shredded wheat and a banana, she said the nurse told her that is what she should eat.

Then you should go and tell them that their 'eat well' plate is not the best dietary approach for T2's:)

I think it's important to share your views and beliefs if you genuinely think they can benefit others. And by the sounds of things, this town hall meet would be a perfect opportunity for you to share your experiences (both positive and negative) with different diets.
