I believe I've had a virus for a week, tight chest etc but today I have felt better. I have good control usually 4 or 5 but my levels have risen. Tonight before dinner it was 6.7, after an hour 7 and after 2 hours 6.5. Anybody get any idea as to how long it will take for my levels to drop as I don't like these higher figures.

Glad the virus seems to have gone as I go on holiday to Madeira on Monday, sardines here I come. Got some Cornish sardines in Aldi this week but they didn't taste the same.
 
I usually find it can take several weeks for blood glucose to return to my own 'normal' levels. It can depend on how long I was ill, and what meds were required. It could be different for you, as you haven't had too high an increase whilst you have been ill.
Hopefully, a holiday in the sun will be just the tonic you need @carol43 .
