Prior to Xmas, I had bloods done and they showed a low level of vitamin d3. Following a comment made by someone on here relating to d3 and diabetes I thought I would do some digging.
Anyway, I found this paper from a study that linked increased d3 with better glycaemic control:
http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC2994161/#!po=0.862069
As a result, I am now taking d3 supplements and am interested to see whether they help. One thing I noted in the paper was that the Hba1c levels reported seemed high, even for those reporting an improvement. As a sample of one starting from a lower Hba1c than those in the trial, it will be interesting to see whether this makes any difference.
Had anyone else looked at d3 in this way?
