Many years ago when I was in the Army you were entitled to one small bottle of beer as a hospital in patient in Military hospitals( we used to have them in those days). I was not convinced the beer was for medical reasons but was for morale!

Agreed, also non-meat eaters are likely to be deficient in zinc as well as (possibly) iron, plus many eareas of the world are selenuim deficient (theoretically a brazil nit per day is sufficient). Probably low fatters are likely to have the most deficiencies.
Actually a brazil NUT a day would give a larger dose
