my husband is type 2 , takes metformin 500 he takes one with breakfast one with dinner , after the dinner one , with in 5mins he throws the lot up ! Dr has given him anti sickness tabs , will he always have to take them ? and why is he the only one we know who is sick ?

Hi Yvonne.

Does hubby take it before the food, whilst eating, or after eating ? Giving anti-sickness tabs seems a strange way to attack the problem. Most GP's, if a patient cannot tolerate standard Metformin usually put the patient on the SR/MR versions. These seem to better tolerated. Maybe he should discuss it with his GP.
