waiting for blood test results.

I do not have diabetes
just looking for a bit of reassurance really, my doctor sent me for the fasting test. i had a scan which shows fatty deposits around my liver, there is also my family history no parents but uncles, aunt and cousins all with type one. i had gestational diabetes in my last pregnancy, just found out that the test after wards was borderline at 6 (3 years later i had no idea before).
from looking at the symptom page i have all of the symptoms but i used my old testing kit today and before food it was 4.6 which i think is within normal range i think. an hour after food it was 6.4 again in normal range i think.

does anyone know if these results mean i am unlikely to have diabetes.

it will be two weeks before i can see my doctor and get my results and its stressing me out a little to be honest.

any help or advice will be greatly appreciated
 
going by those numbers you are fine and well within the normal range
as you know diabetes is over 7 fasting and 11 with the sugar drink test
 
I have my fingers crossed for you. Just one point. If you used your old testing kit, were the strips still in date? Out of date strips can give false readings.

Also, don't wait 2 weeks for your results. Ring up on Monday and ask the receptionist for them.
 
just checked and they are 2 years out of date. does that mean they probably are not working properly. had began to feel a little more optimistic.
the doctor said he thought it was a sure thing but i still have the hope he is wrong.
i have given up a lot of carbs from my diet in the last year or so. hoping the damage to my liver and high cholesterol is a through back from when i lived on carbs.
