For the past month I have been waking up in the morning feeling really warm since going Low Carb. I have been reading about this and it seems that other women have been experiencing the same thing. I am past the Menopause now,so it is not that. I am not sweating..When I get out of bed the only way that I can explain it is..I feel as if the heating is on and want to turn it down, but no heating is on. This only lasts for around 15 mins. When I looked it up,peeps were saying that they feel extra warm when in Keto. Has anybody here experienced this?

Hi @derry60 I suffered from night sweats prior to DX but I have generally been ok since I lowered my BG. I eat very low carb but am not in keto, and I feel cold most of the day time hours! Sorry I can't help!

I get it when I have a liver dump. My liver likes to dump several times a day, so maybe that why?

(liver dump sounds so.....................rude)

Ha ha ha...My BG fasting level in the morning is round 5.3 to 5.6 so not high..It is just uncomfortable for around 10 to 15 mins

Ahh right... I was looking around the net and typed the question in not really thinking that it would relate to Keto to be honest, but quite a few said that they get warm when in Keto..Sometimes I will only eat once a day,and other days twice..Lunch if I do eat then is usually just 2 slices Corned Beef, Lettuce, Cucumer, 3 Cherry tomatoes and half a jumbo spring onion and some cheese..Sometimes just a couple slices of ham and some cheese.

I Think This happens while we ate burning fat , that releases a lot of hormons oestrogenes and that can cause hot flashes
