Type of diabetes
Don't have diabetes
All day today I have felt dizzy light headed and sweaty. Had to leave work and couldn't drive.
Just been to the walk in centre and my BG 3.5hrs after lunch was 6.8 which he said was good and in the normal range.
Turns out I have a Water Infection and put on antibiotics.
At the worst point today when I felt rubbish I had a biscuit to calm myself down which worked, could my BG have gone too low? As I have really cut out the sugar and only have 1 yoghurt a day to fix my sugar craving Not got a machine yet getting it tomorrow

Hi Liam you profile states you don't have diabetes which can be confusing for anyone who wants to respond. Just looked at older messages and it say you were diagnosed 2/7 with a HBA1C of 58, prescribed Metformin and you have the docs on wednesday. Is that right?

It is unlikely you were hypo and more likely it was the water infection. This may make you go a bit higher so don't panic when your meter arrives.

You body will protest a bit when reducing the sugars so try to stay stong and avoid the sugary snacks if possible as it will delay your body getting used to the newer normal levels.
