Marbles on the streets was played and enjoyed for hours of fun .

We used to play with cigarette cards too.

Anyone remember the 'simple' imaginary games ?

Pretend you were cowboys and Indians ?
Cops and robbers ?
Doctors and nurses ?

Easy to conjure up with a few friends in the neighbourhood .
Those were the days !

I used to fasten a cigarette card to the front fork of my bike with a clothes peg so it sounded like a motorbike (not!).

Now your talking, how many times did you put the brake blocks in the wrong way round on your bike ? I had plenty of brousies
before I learned my lesson.

Ha! I did that too! I remember it used to make the bike shudder.

That's all till next weekend!

Another weekend is upon us .
In keeping with the birth of the new 'royal' baby .

I will never get tired of F1 world championship races. Roy if they are world events.

The worldwide event I was the MOST horrified by was Twin Towers [USA] Sept 11th 2011 .

 Western world crime rate falls by 70%.
JULY 22, 2013
Kerry McDermott, Daily Mail.

Cities have seen the biggest impact from the receding of the crime wave

Obviously vitally important to all of us.
(If we can depend on the report being accurate, that is.)
